SENIOR LIFTING EQUIPMENT INSPECTOR / HYDRAULICS TECHNICIAN

Geetech Monaco SARL is an engineering company based in Monaco, providing support and services to the Superyacht Industry. We are looking for an experienced lifting inspector/ technician willing to work, learn, travel, and provide an excellent customer service.

About the Role

The Lifting Inspector role will involve the inspection, functional testing, repair and maintenance of lifting, boarding and working at height equipment onboard superyachts.

The work will be undertaken onboard superyachts in the Marinas and at various European shipyard locations from Italy, Monaco, France & Spain.

Occasional worldwide travel for projects is required, as well as occasional work outside regular business hours.

Job Responsibilities:

/ Refit, Repair and servicing of lifting equipment (especially Cranes and Davits) in accordance with Company and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) procedures and requirements.

/ Attend Hydraulic Equipment breakdowns – diagnosis, client communication providing technical solutions in a clear manner.

/ Carry out Thorough Examination and load testing of lifting and working at height equipment and accessories in line with Company procedures on clients’ equipment to ensure regulatory compliance and report on condition.

/ Provide accurate and timely written reports.

/ Provide customers safety information and recommend compliance procedures- You’ll need to keep up to date your knowledge of Equipment Registry, International Codes & Standards, Specifications, and statutory regulations related to Lifting Equipment and Rope Access/ working at height equipment

/ Advise customers on the correct selection and use of lifting and working at height equipment.

Qualifications and Experience

/ Relevant Lifting Equipment inspection & certification related experience with particular focus on managing Lifting Equipment inspection and certification in the marine industry.

/ Strong technical skills and proven expertise in Cranes and other Lifting Equipment, rigging, working at height

/ Technical qualification in a Mechanical / Hydraulics discipline

/ Desirable to be LEEA/ LOLER qualified and have knowledge and experience of hydraulics/electrics/ mechanical fitting

/ Full Clean Driving License

/ Languages: English – Advanced Essential; French – Conversational Level Desired
